Discover the Legacy of Young Poland 🎨
Join us for a captivating exhibition showcasing the remarkable collection donated by Wanda and Leonard Pietraszak. This impressive collection features 58 stunning oil paintings, including 5 masterpieces by Jan Stanisławski himself, alongside works by 37 talented students and pupils from his studio, plus a striking portrait of the donors by Jan Szancenbach.
Among the talented landscape artists presented are notable names like Wlastimil Hofman, Stanisław Kamocki, Alfons Karpiński, and many more.
Jan Stanisławski (1860-1907) was a prominent painter and a pivotal figure in the Kraków artistic scene during the Young Poland movement. Renowned for founding the Krakow school of landscape painting, he mentored over 70 students and influenced countless others through private sessions. Stanisławski's approach to art focuses on capturing the essence of nature's beauty with a dynamic interplay of light and color.
