jessica Care moore 🌍 - An award-winning poet and cultural activist, jessica is Detroit's Poet Laureate and the founder of multiple successful initiatives promoting women in the arts. She has collaborated with legends in Hip Hop and her works, including The Words Don’t Fit in My Mouth and We Want Our Bodies Back, resonate deeply with diverse voices.

Alen Hamza 🇧🇦 - A Bosnian immigrant, Alen's poignant poetry reflects his rich experiences and cultural identity. His book Twice There Was a Country earned the CSU Poetry Center First Book Award. Alen has contributed extensively to renowned literary journals and is a respected professor at Western Michigan University.

🌟 Don't miss the Finale Reading, which will be ASL interpreted! Help us spread the word.

Catered Reception: After the reading, join us downstairs at the Black Arts and Cultural Center for delightful refreshments.
