About Kate Olson:
Kate is an improvising saxophonist and music educator based in Seattle, WA. Since her move to Seattle in 2010, she has immersed herself in the local, regional, and international improvised music scenes. You can catch her performing with her own projects, KO SOLO and KO QUARTET (New Album Out on OA2 Records in January 2026), as well as collaborating with various ensembles including the Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble and Wayne Horvitz Ensemble.

• Evan Woodle: Drums

Performance Highlights:
Kate has performed internationally in countries such as Russia, Latvia, Turkey, Switzerland, South Korea, Cuba, and Slovakia. She has shared the stage with notable artists including Terry Riley, Elvis Costello, and Brandi Carlile. Kate has received multiple nominations for the Earshot Golden Ear Awards, winning the award for Best NW Instrumentalist in 2025.
