🎶 The Cult of the Virgin Mary reached its peak during the 12th and 13th centuries, with music celebrating her across Western Europe. Join ModernMedieval Voices, led by Dr. Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek (formerly of Anonymous 4), for a captivating program featuring:

• Latin Marian texts from two 13th-century Spanish sources:
  • Virtuosic 2- and 3-part polyphony from the Codex Las Huelgas
  • Chant canons from the Llibre Vermell de Montserrat
• Selections from the Cantigas de Santa Maria
• Well-known Marian hymns and antiphons, including new settings of the four Marian antiphons by composer Laura Jobin-Acosta.
