Lakeside Wooden Boat Show

🎨🚤 Join us for the Lakeside Wooden Boat Show & Plein Air Art Festival, a highlight of the summer from 17-19 juli! This family-friendly event celebrates the exquisite craftsmanship of wooden boatbuilding alongside the creative talents of plein air artists painting in beautiful outdoor settings.

The festivities culminate on söndag, when Lakeside’s waterfront transforms into an impressive exhibition for the 23rd Annual Lakeside Wooden Boat Show. Explore over 60 classic cruisers displayed elegantly along the dock and lawn of Hotel Lakeside, where you can meet boat owners, engage with restoration experts, and learn the fascinating stories behind each vessel.

🌊 Adding to the excitement are the Amphicars participating in a unique "swim meet" on Sunday. Conditions permitting, watch as these extraordinary vehicles transition seamlessly from land to water around noon at the Lakeside Sailing Center ramp.

🎨 Don’t miss the Plein Air Paintout! Artists will be finalizing their masterpieces along the shoreline and in Bettinger Park until noon. You can even purchase these artworks during the Wet Paint Sale on Sunday from 1:30-3:30 p.m., located south of the Pavilion. Please remember, during this time, the Gaga Ball pit and west basketball court will be closed to protect the displays.

👧 Additionally, children of all ages are welcome to participate in Kids’ Easel Art Painting, available by donation from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

🍔 And of course, enjoy delicious lunch options at Lakeside’s restaurants or grab a meal from the Hotel Lakeside Lawn between 12:00-16:00 (while supplies last). Menu highlights include juicy hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, and more!
