Dr. Lindsay Gary discusses Stokely Carmichael’s (Kwame Ture) 1967 visit to Houston, SNCC’s evolution toward Black Power, and Pan-Africanism as a bridge between the U.S. Civil Rights Movement and global struggles for liberation.This program takes place in the main building, located at 1533 Sul Ross Street.As always, Menil programs are free and open to all.
