Lindy by the Lake - feat. Heidi Evelyn and Friends

🌞 Enjoy a summer day at Lindy by the Lake featuring live music from Heidi Evelyn and Friends! Whether you're a seasoned swing dancer or just getting started, this event is perfect for everyone who loves great tunes and a lively atmosphere.

• 10:30-11 AM: Taster Class (No partner or experience necessary!)
• 11 AM - 2 PM: Social Dance with live music 🎶

🤝 Let's support live music and working musicians! Please stay at home if you are feeling any Covid, Flu, or Cold symptoms. Informed consent guidelines will be developed for partner dancing.

🌳 Swing dance is about community, meeting people, and dancing with friends and strangers alike in a beautiful outdoor setting with fun swing music from the 30s and 40s. Bring a friend who's never danced before, or if they enjoy some live music and sunshine. Come hang out with us!

📍 Location: Gather by the lake towards Lakeshore Drive and E 18th St at the cemented area. Pack plenty of water and sunscreen, and maybe a light sweater for the breeze. You can grab a snack at Grand Lake Farmers Market before heading over.

🚶‍♂️ Commuting to LBTL:

• Nearest BART Station: Lake Merritt (about 0.8 mi or a 15-minute leisurely walk away).
• Free parking is available around the lake on Saturdays.
• Metered street parking is also available on 18th St.

🚗 Driving to LBTL: Use Lucky's Supermarket on E. 18th Street in your GPS. Park around there and walk towards the lake. This will help you avoid some of the crazy re-routing happening along the lake on weekends.
