Low Tide Walk
Join us for a beach walk under the sun on the beautiful Salish Sea! ๐ Living on Duwamish land means water is everywhere, and the people of this place have thrived through a deep relationship with this sacred element.
These walks are a step towards cultivating that relationship through sensory exploration of the landscape and seascape. ๐
We'll practice how to meet new beings in this environment. What are the habits of the sea? Who lives here? What do they eat? Who eats them? And whatโs that squishy thing? If you think the forest is full of wonders, just wait until you experience the beach! ๐ฟ
This invitation is currently exclusive to the Trillium community as I familiarize myself with the Salish. You all understand the medicine of our practice, making it easier for me to learn alongside you. However, feel free to share this invite with anyone you think would be a good fit! ๐ค
Things to Know:
- Rule #1: Weโll be on the beach, in the elements! Expect wind, direct sun, sand, rocks, and water. If you want a rich experience, be prepared to get wet and dirty. Embrace your wild side! ๐๏ธ
- Footwear: Any shoes or no shoes are fine, but consider sandals or water shoes for comfort.
- Bottoms: Wear something that allows you to comfortably get knee-deep in the water.
- Sun Protection: Bring a hat, sunglasses, long sleeves, and sunblock to protect yourself from the sun.
- Parking: Seahurst has an upper lot thatโs a 10-minute walk from the beach, and a small lower lot for lucky finds.
- Extra Time: Feel free to arrive early or stay late for more beach medicine. A picnic? I might join you if I can! ๐
- Late Arrivals: If youโre running late, call me at 206-742-8989 to find us. We usually walk the paved path north (right) and then head south on the beach.
See you there! ๐
