Make Your Story Glow: Build a Magnetic LED Scrapbook

Join Connect Byte and Double Union for a creative, hands-on afternoon where technology becomes personal, playful, and meaningful! 🎨💡

In this beginner-friendly experience, participants will create and personalize the cover of their own scrapbook. A small electronic circuit will be assembled behind the cover, featuring a visible LED integrated into its design. By bringing a decorative magnetic charm close to a specific spot, participants will activate the circuit and make the LED light up!

No previous experience with electronics or crafting is required. We’ll explore the basics together in a welcoming environment designed for women who are curious about technology and want to experience it as a creative hobby.

Come meet new people, build something with your own hands, and take home a scrapbook that can continue telling your story long after the event. 📖✨

This event is exclusively for women. Materials will be provided. Just bring your curiosity and creativity!

Double Union is a hacker and maker space in San Francisco’s Mission District, guided by intersectional feminist values and created for women and nonbinary people. The community has been operating since 2013.

Connect Byte is a Brazilian community created for women who want to experience technology as a creative and hands-on hobby. Through welcoming workshops and events, the community brings together electronics, hardware, software, artificial intelligence, crafts, and creativity, always starting with an idea participants can bring to life.
