Maraton hudby Brno
From 6 to 9 August, the Maraton hudby Brno will take over the entire city – from Villa Tugendhat through the streets, squares, theatres and clubs to the courtyard of Špilberk Castle.
Look forward to more than 100 concerts and performances, 20+ music stages across the city, and four days filled with music. International and Czech stars, exciting new projects, and outstanding emerging talents will all come together in Brno. Every concert has the potential to become your musical highlight of 2026.
This is the 11th edition of the festival, curated by music publicist Milan Tesař (head of music at Radio Proglas and leader of the World Music Charts Europe panel). The festival aims to revitalize Brno's historic centre and transform it into a vibrant pedestrian zone pulsing with art. It is part of the "Brno – City of Music" project and played a significant role in Brno's successful nomination to UNESCO's Creative Cities Network in the music category.
The festival's dramaturgy is built on originality, audience interaction, and diversity, welcoming visitors of all ages, social backgrounds, and nationalities. It presents a wide range of musical genres—from popular world music (rock) to minority and traditional styles, including Czech, Macedonian, and Greek (folk) traditions. Special curated programmes cater to discerning listeners (jazz, classical, organ, piano relay) as well as those seeking Balkan rhythms and unexpected performances in surprising locations.
Most of the festival programme is freely accessible to the general public.
Don't miss the unique atmosphere that only Maraton Music Brno can create.
Tickets are now on sale via GoOut.
