🎸 Indie-rock icons Modest Mouse make their Clearwater debut at The BayCare Sound with special guest Robber Robber!

Capable of punkish rawness, simmering atmosphere, and light-hearted pop, Modest Mouse helped shape the sound of late-’90s indie rock, proving there’s more to the Pacific Northwest underground than grunge. With frontman Isaac Brock’s sketches of small-town life, their mix of emo, folk, post-rock, and progressive rock has earned them multi-platinum status and a GRAMMY nomination.

Their major-label debut, 2000’s sprawling The Moon and Antarctica, showcased their grand ambition, while 2005’s Good News for People Who Love Bad News and its smash hit “Float On” revealed their flair for anthemic pop singles. Modest Mouse continues to experiment, infusing arena-sized proportions into their music without sacrificing their signature idiosyncratic outlook.

Having recently completed another successful run with Pixies and Cat Power, Modest Mouse remains one of the most consistent live acts today.

Robber Robber is a Burlington, Vermont-based indie rock quartet led by vocalist/guitarist Nina Cates and drummer Zack James. Known for their DIY, high-energy, and sometimes dissonant post-punk/indie sound, the band includes Will Krulak (guitar) and Carney Hemler (bass). They are recognized for their 2024 debut album Wild Guess, which follows their roots in the Burlington scene.
