Monica Ramey

Monica Ramey, a talented vocalist from Nashville, is celebrated for her deep understanding of the jazz tradition. Her album Make Someone Happy has received praise for its engaging interpretations of songs from The Great American Songbook. 🎶

Acclaimed by notable artists such as Beegie Adair, Anthony Wilson, and Jeff Coffin, Monica's journey began in Francesville, Indiana, where she performed alongside her mother in a high school show choir. After earning her college degree, she moved to Nashville, where she honed her craft at the Nashville Jazz Workshop (NJW) and formed lasting connections with fellow musicians.

Monica's collaboration with legendary jazz pianist Beegie Adair has been a defining aspect of her career, leading to multiple album recordings and sold-out performances, particularly at Birdland Jazz Club in New York. The Tennessean praised her smooth, velvety voice, while Broadway World recognized her as "one of the best jazz vocalists".

Currently, Monica is in a year-long residency at NJW, curating monthly performances that celebrate the Great American Composers.

In her personal life, Monica enjoys spending time with friends, family, and pets, as well as traveling, cooking, and gardening. She is also an advocate for various organizations focused on animal welfare, music, and human rights.
