  • Flowing Stream under the Moon Light: Choreographed by Ying Shi, this piece beautifully embodies the youthful purity of two young women by a serene moonlit riverside. 🌙
  • Positioning: A poignant duet addressing global crises, conveying messages of hope, equality, and justice through movement.
  • Way of Fire: Originally choreographed for five women, this powerful piece highlights female resilience and honors Nai-Ni Chen’s pioneering spirit. 🔥
  • Reflection of A Ripple (Premiere): An exploration of movement lineage and cultural heritage, balancing grace with dynamic energy bursts.
  • Incense: Inspired by temple rituals, this piece features dancers transforming into rising clouds of prayer. ☁️

Established in the NJ/NY area for over three decades, nai-Ni Chen (1959-2021) was a trailblazing choreographer who masterfully blended traditional Chinese cultural elements with modern dance. Her expansive repertoire of over 80 original works has graced stages around the world, breaking cultural boundaries and bringing diverse audiences together through the art of dance.

Nai-Ni Chen is remembered by her contributions to enriching the immigrant cultural experience and continues to inspire future generations of dancers.
