National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine

Formed by the Council of Ministers of Ukraine in November 1918, the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is regarded as one of the finest symphony orchestras in Eastern Europe. Its founding conductor was Oleksandr Horilyj, followed by notable Artistic Directors including Natan Rachlin (1937-1962), and Principal Conductors such as Stefan Turchak, Volodymyr Kozhukhar, Fedir Hlushchenko, Igor Blazhkov, and Theodore Kuchar.

The Orchestra has gained international recognition through extensive touring and recording. Since 1993, the NSOU has released over 100 sound recordings featuring both Ukrainian and international repertoires, receiving high critical acclaim.
