In his "Death and Disaster" series, Warhol explored the impact of images taken out of a journalistic context and framed, through repetition, as works of art. Some photographs depict horrific scenes, while others focus on narratives symbolic of death and disaster, such as the Electric Chair and Jackie series. Warhol's repetition mirrors the societal repetition evident in media and technology.
