
Night Sky Above Devín Castle
The Bratislava City Museum, in cooperation with the Slovak Astronomical Association, has organized the night sky observation event at Devín Castle.
With their guidance and assistance, visitors will have the opportunity to observe celestial objects using special equipment and learn interesting facts about the night sky in the authentic atmosphere of the castle grounds. During the event, the Moon will also be visible above the horizon, offering an engaging viewing experience for young and old alike.
The event is open to the general public and will take place outdoors at the castle, so warm clothing and sturdy footwear are recommended. Don’t forget to bring your own light source, such as a flashlight or headlamp with a red light setting.
Schedule:
8:00 PM – admission, start of telescope demonstrations
8:45 PM – guided tour of the night sky and observation
10:00 PM – end of demonstrations
11:00 PM – castle closes
