NMA, formed by brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson in 1996, draws inspiration from their father, Jim Dickinson, and musical legends from their North Mississippi community, including RL Burnside and Junior Kimbrough.

Since their debut album in 2000, they have toured extensively, sharing the stage with icons like Phil Lesh, Mavis Staples, and Robert Plant, while earning multiple Grammy nominations for their unique sound, which they call Modern Mississippi Music.
