Objekt (TJ Hertz) is a Berlin-based producer and DJ, originally from Tokyo. He gained recognition in 2011 with the release of Objekt #1 and #2, quickly receiving acclaim for his innovative and genre-defying club tracks. His work has appeared on labels such as Hessle Audio, alongside remixes for notable artists like Radiohead and SBTRKT. Influential figures like Aphex Twin and Autechre have supported his music, particularly tracks like "Ganzfeld" and "Theme From Q", which have become staples in modern clubs.

Objekt has released albums such as Flatland (2014) and Cocoon Crush (2018) on PAN, both earning a score of 8.0 on Pitchfork. Cocoon Crush was specifically praised for its intricately sculpted sound design. As a DJ, he is recognized for his compelling sets that fluidly traverse multiple genres. His 2016 mix for Tresor, Kern Vol. 3, was described by Resident Advisor as "a window into the very essence of DJing."

In 2024, he established the label Kapsela to showcase his own work and that of like-minded artists. Objekt's music is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a boundary-pushing, genre-agnostic approach.
