Olefonken (Snorkel Records/ Hubbabubba Club)

Olefonken is a name many already know.

For those who don't, he is one of Oslo's—perhaps Norway's—most prominent DJs, as well as a producer and musician. He co-founded Hubbabubbaklubb and is one half of Snorkel Records.

Having grown up in Botswana and Norway, Olefonken has developed a sound that combines global rhythms with Nordic sensibility. As a solo artist, he has released Quaaludes, Ubuntu Tutu, Sun City, and Till Hanne, along with edits and remixes that have circulated widely in the club scene.

Olefonken doesn't follow the current—he sets it.
