ONLINE Book Discussion: Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi
Join us for an online discussion of Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (2000–2003).
While our in-person meetings are usually limited to 15 participants to keep the conversation focused and give everyone space to contribute, this online format allows for a bit more flexibility. For this session, we’ll be opening up to a maximum of 20 participants to make the most of the virtual setting while still keeping the discussion engaging and inclusive.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
- By signing up, you are expressing a genuine intention to attend. We understand that things can change, but we kindly ask you to be considerate of others and only reserve a spot if you plan to join.
- This is a shared discussion space, and we welcome participants from different countries, backgrounds, and cultural contexts. Please approach the conversation with openness, respect, and curiosity. We expect all participants to engage in a non-judgmental and respectful way, especially when discussing experiences that may differ from your own.
- Before joining, please make sure to read OUR RULES AND ETIQUETTE from our website www.feminismbetweenthelines.com
- We encourage you to read the book beforehand so you can actively participate in the conversation.
- To help everyone prepare, all event materials will be shared 3–4 days before the discussion via Meetup messages. This will include:
- The Google Meet link
- A document with discussion questions and prompts
- Any final practical details for the session
As this is our first online edition of the book club, we see it as a learning experience. We’ll do our best to create a smooth, engaging, and meaningful discussion, but we also ask for your patience and understanding as we experiment, adjust, and improve future online sessions based on what works best.
Looking forward to sharing ideas, perspectives, and a great conversation together!
