Pecha Kucha Night: Knižní lázně

Pecha Kucha Night and its special edition at the Knižní lázně festival create a space where publishers, authors, graphic designers, cultural event organizers, theorists, and others can come together in one place at one time. Each speaker has 20 images for their presentation and 20 seconds to comment on each one; 6 minutes and 40 seconds separate them from their successor’s turn.

Knižní lázně will take place from June 18 to 21, 2026, in Mariánské Lázně. It is a meeting place for small publishers and good booksellers to connect with readers. The book fair and program feature author readings, discussions, creative workshops, meet-and-greets with authors, children’s theater, contests, music concerts, and more. The main themes addressed by the Book Spa are book and reading culture, as well as societal issues with a focus on mental health. This year’s ambassadors are actress Vica Kerekes and writer and winner of the 2026 Magnesia Litera Award for the book Maribor Hypnosis.

Pecha Kucha Night is organized in collaboration with the Švihák association.
