Guided by Gabrielle LaTora, a dedicated entomologist and Agriculture & Natural Resources Agent for Fulton County Extension, you will learn how these tiny creatures bolster Atlanta's urban forest, gardens, and food systems. 🏙️🌳 Discover simple ways to support pollinators in your own neighborhood!

About the Guide:

Gabrielle LaTora, with her background in entomology, is passionate about bridging the gap between people and their food. She collaborates with farmers for sustainable practices, coordinates the Master Gardener Extension Volunteer program, and manages the North Fulton Community Garden. Her favorite insect? The magnificent Pandora sphinx moth! 🦋

About Pollinator Week:

Pollinator Week (June 15-21) is an annual initiative that champions pollinator health, organized by Pollinator Partnership. It's a chance to raise awareness about these essential creatures and learn how we can protect them. Learn more about Pollinator Week here.

About the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum:

Since its establishment in 2006, the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum has become an integral part of Atlanta’s urban forest, featuring a public garden, ecological corridor, and educational landscape. 🌳 With a diverse array of plant species and sustainable landscape practices, it showcases the beauty of native flora in an urban setting. The Arboretum, upon completion, will span over 100 acres along a 22-mile linear public garden, earning the title of the world's longest accredited linear arboretum.
