Pond offers a skerrick of hope in a hostile world with their new record - their 11th - Terrestrials. This album is a cyclone of urgent, scorched earth rock’n’roll, tipping its hat to the sounds of the past while facing the present.

Conceived from a place of reverence for a potent epoch in Oz rock, Terrestrials mines the sound of open sky melancholia and jangly pub backrooms. The record's stylistic north star is the idea of “Goths at the pub,” blending iconic 80s Australiana with the post-punk sounds of bands like Sisters Of Mercy and Magazine.

Expect reverb-y drum machines, flanger effects, and 12-string acoustics, creating a sound that is both hard and fast, edgy and expansive. The recording process was subject to a simple set of rules, resulting in the breeziest and most focused Pond record to date.

Pond is made up of Nick Allbrook, Jay Watson, Joe Ryan, Jamie Terry, and James Ireland. Terrestrials was produced by Pond and mixed by Jay Watson and James Ireland.
