Jean-Luc Lemoine, a well-known contemporary French comedy writer, likes to lead the audience down misleading paths, only to surprise them at the least expected moment with a completely new perspective on the situation. The play Will You Be My Best Man? is one such theatrical text.

Mam invites his best friend Tom to be the best man at his wedding to Lili, whom he has been dating for 12 years. However, he hasn't seen Tom for several years because Lili forbade him from seeing him, as he had once left their mutual friend. Tom arrives, accompanied by his new young girlfriend Jasmine.
