Raptors Up Close

Join us for a fascinating experience with three native Illinois animal ambassadors—a majestic owl, a striking hawk, and a beautiful falcon! Learn about the importance of these birds of prey through engaging presentations by the Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education team. 🌍

You'll discover their basic anatomy, their critical role in the food chain, and how conservation efforts are essential to protect these magnificent creatures. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to explore and touch displays of biological artifacts, including wings, feathers, tails, and pellets.

Please note that the birds will not be free-flying; each animal ambassador will be safely secured and held by a handler during the presentation.

About the Organization:
Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native birds of prey, aiming to return healthy birds back to the wild. They inspire a love for wildlife and foster a sense of environmental responsibility. 🌱
