Join us for an engaging evening where we explore different eras of music through selected albums that capture the sound, spirit, and cultural atmosphere of their time.

What to Expect

The first night marks the beginning of a series that will journey through the American musical canon by decade, featuring genres like jazz, country, gospel, soul, rock, pop, hip hop, folk, and electronic.

Matt will provide a brief introduction before each record, highlighting what to listen for, the album's place in the broader narrative of American music, and its ongoing significance. Afterward, we’ll enjoy drinks and listen together.

Schedule

• 6:00 PM - Arrive, grab a drink, and enjoy some lite bites
• 6:30 PM - Introduce Record #1
• 7:30 PM - Intermission and chatting
• 8:00 PM - Introduce Record #2
• 9:00 PM - Event officially ends, but feel free to stay and chat

This event is designed to be a relaxed listening party rather than a strictly academic exercise, featuring great records, drinks, and a community of music enthusiasts.
