RIVERS OF NIHIL - Aotearoa tour - Wellington

🎸 Rivers of Nihil is making their first journey to Aotearoa, New Zealand!

Hailing from Pennsylvania, these progressive death metal pioneers have refined their musicianship through relentless touring across the U.S. and EU/UK. They've shared the stage with notable acts like Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, Lorna Shore, and Between the Buried and Me, as well as legends of progressive death metal such as Cynic, Beyond Creation, and Dååth.

Life on the road is a joy for both fans and band members, filled with laughter and camaraderie. Founding member and guitarist Brody Uttley shares, "Andy (Guitar, Vocals) and I have been friends for over 15 years, and Jared (Drums) has been with us since 2017." In 2023, founding bassist Adam Biggs stepped up as the new lead vocalist/bassist, leading to the release of their self-titled album, Rivers of Nihil (2025).

This album marks a return to basics and a fresh start, featuring 10 powerful tracks that blend elements from all their previous works. Uttley describes it as, "the perfect blend of all our albums, with all the fat cut away." Expect riffs, big choruses, progressive elements, solos, and even saxophone!
