Saturday Walk in Draháň

Hello Discoverers! 🌍 Let's step out and enjoy our daily goal of 10,000 steps while connecting with friendly folks in the stunning Natural Park Draháň – Troja, located just north of Prague.

This beautiful area is a beloved recreation spot for many locals, rich in protected flora and fauna, and historically significant with the remnants of the early Slavic fortress settlement, “Zámka”. Sadly, this unique environment is under threat from city planners intent on constructing a massive six-lane motorway.

Questions loom around whether this development is truly necessary, or if there are more environmentally-friendly alternatives that could alleviate traffic woes in Prague. On our adventure, I'll address these queries while guiding you to my favorite spots along the way!

Difficulty: Easy to Medium
Distance: Approximately 8 km (5 miles) mostly on unpaved trails
Elevation Gain: About 130 meters (400 ft)

Meeting Point:
We’ll gather at 10:00 AM outside of Kobylisy metro C station, specifically at the bus number 152 stop right in front of the “Katastralni Urad” (Land Registry Office).

As a delightful treat, I’ll be booking a restaurant for a well-deserved lunch after our walk! 🥗🍽️

What to Bring:

• Comfortable walking shoes (that you don’t mind getting dirty)
• An umbrella or raincoat if rain is in the forecast
• Water & snacks

Cost: 150 CZK (Children under 16 are free!)
