John and Exene's journey began in 1976 at Beyond Baroque’s poetry workshop, leading to their influential role in the Hollywood punk movement. Their sound transcends typical punk, incorporating elements of country and rockabilly, with poetic lyrics that set them apart.

Their discography includes classic albums like Los Angeles (1980), Wild Gift (1981), Under the Big Black Sun (1982), and More Fun in the New World (1983).

In addition to their work with X, they have explored various projects, including the country alter-ego the Knitters and numerous solo albums. John has also authored books on L.A. punk rock and appeared in over sixty film and television productions, while Exene is a talented visual artist with works displayed in prestigious galleries.

When performing acoustically, they revisit X songs in stripped-down arrangements, showcasing their lyrical depth and vocal harmony. Expect a delightful mix of country classics and humorous banter for a memorable night!
