Join us for a spooky summer as we dive into horror/thriller books by female authors of Color! To add a fun twist, we'll be bedazzling wine glasses and adding charms! ✨

About Sisterhood Between The Pages

We are a book club for Women of Afro-descent across the diaspora, aiming to foster an intentional space where we connect over the stories of playwrights, authors, and writers. Our mission is to amplify Black Joy and build solidarity through literature.

August Discussion Details

• 📖 Theme: Mythical & Folklore Monsters
  Choose a book by an Author of Color featuring monsters from myth and folklore—think vampires, zombies, ghosts, haunted houses, or similar lore. You can select a novel, novella, short story collection, or play that excites you for discussion!

• 📚 Suggested books:
  The Curse Of Hester Gardens by Tamika Thompson
  The Gilda Stories by Jewelle Gomes

Location & Time

• 📍 Location: The Park / Thunder Mug Cafe
• 🗓 Date: Saturday, August 29th
• ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Cost

• 💲 Admission: $14.00 (includes wine glass, supplies, gems, and charms)

What To Expect

• Craft activity with all supplies included
• Beverages and light brunch foods (bagels, donuts, etc.)
• Book discussion
• Enjoy the outdoors; if it rains, we’ll move inside!
• 🧺 Bring: A picnic blanket or beach towel for a relaxed seating experience.

Attendance & Cancellation Policy

• Please arrive on time, as late arrivals disrupt the discussion.
• Cancellations require a 24-hour notice. All payments are final and non-refundable. Swapping or reselling tickets is prohibited.
