About the event

Small Things: Weaving Threads 🧵

“‘Wearability’ is not the end of life.”
Join us for a transformative workshop where you'll learn to turn old clothing and fabrics into new 'threads'! Participants will create a woven (upcycled) textile piece and have the option to take home their own cardboard loom.

Workshop Details:

  • Facilitator: Joe Lewis, past artist-in-residence
  • Dates: Attend on Aug 14 or Aug 21 (or both!)

About the Series:
Small Things: Tea, Teachings & Being Together is a series of creative workshops led by Indigenous and settler artists, presented by Scadding Court Community Centre and Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence, with support from the Toronto Arts Council.
This series explores the connections that emerge when people create together, fostering community and shared experiences.
