SMOKED OUT SOUL
Smoked Out Soul (S.O.S.) blends a Bay Area–style sound, mixing live-band energy with a DJ feel. Originally a mixtape project by Zebuel, it combines ’70s Motown, Stax, and modern beats, evolving into a live act with musicians, producers, and DJs performing together.
Their shows mix classic soul and funk with modern elements, featuring live horns, guitars, drums, synthesizers, and high-energy DJ sets. The sound is both familiar and innovative, rooted in tradition but fresh.
Having performed at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Lightning in a Bottle, Smoked Out Soul delivers an energetic, genre-blending performance that transforms the plaza into a vibrant summer-night atmosphere. A soul-based sound with a futuristic twist.
Jazz on the Plazz concerts are free and open to the public, with designated general admission areas throughout the Los Gatos Town Plaza. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic items. Blankets are not permitted. Reserved seating, located directly in front of the stage, is available for purchase and often sells out in advance.
