STAYJ + Marie April & The Fools: Chapter 2: Adventures (Křest alba)

A major concert celebrating the release of a new album by STAYJ – a young, energetic band blending indie rock with brass soul. The evening will also feature one of the most promising new names on the Czech music scene, Anděl Award nominee for Newcomer of the Year, Marie April with her band The Fools.

Known for their high-energy live shows and a distinctive fusion of indie rock with big band elements. In recent years they have performed on the main stage of the Povaleč Festival alongside Lenka Dusilová and Ventolin, at Prague’s Výstaviště during the international Scout Jamboree, and at Lucerna Music Bar for the album launch of Vanua2. The band have also recently played two successful headline shows in Edinburgh, Scotland – one of the cities where members of the Prague-based group are currently active.

STAYJ’s music carries an uplifting message: even when things feel difficult, there is usually a way forward. Often it takes a shift in perspective, confidence, and the belief that it’s worth it. As the band puts it: “It means the world to us when people sing our songs along with us at shows. In that moment, there’s no boundary between the audience and the stage.”

Marie April & The Fools
A twenty-year-old Czech-American singer based in Prague. In January 2024 she founded the six-piece band Marie April & The Fools, whose sound uniquely blends jazz, soul, rock and indie influences. Her debut album tangerines, released in May 2024, quickly drew attention both on the Czech scene and at several international festivals. Music magazine Headliner named her Breakthrough Artist of the Year 2025.
