Celebrate Summer in Metro-Detroit’s Backyard! 🌞 Our free outdoor summer series returns with a patriotic theme honoring America’s 250th Anniversary. Enjoy diverse performances that showcase the uniquely American music that moves us.

Event Highlights:

    • 6:00 PM: Grounds Open for seating, Food Stand & Bar Opens for Service
    • 7:30 PM: Concert Begins
    • 9:00 PM: Concert Concludes

Join us for the final concert of the series featuring Detroit’s own Queen of the Blues, Thornetta Davis! 🎤

Food & Drinks:

No summer festival is complete without delicious eats! Enjoy a mouth-watering menu from The War Memorial’s hospitality team, led by Chef Joe Paxton, offering a unique spin on classic Americana. 🍔

Tickets:

  • General Admission: Free (registration required)
  • VIP Tickets: $45 each, includes reserved seating on the Alger Center balcony, padded chairs, a private bar, and a complimentary beverage.

In the spirit of community support, we’ve introduced a “Pay What You Wish” option. Your contribution helps offset program expenses and supports future community offerings at The War Memorial. Thank you for your support! 🙏

Note: Picnics, picnic blankets, and chairs are welcome, but no outside beverages are permitted.

About Thornetta Davis:

Thornetta Davis is an internationally recognized singer and songwriter, awarded the “Living Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Detroit Blues Society. She has performed with legends like B.B. King and Etta James, and was crowned “Detroit’s Queen of the Blues” in 2015.
