🎉 SWIM DERWENT is Back! 🎉 Join us on Sunday, 12th July 2026 at the stunning Derwent Reservoir near Consett for a day of unforgettable open water swimming! 🏞️

In collaboration with the Castle Triathlon Club and Northumbrian Water, this cherished event welcomes swimmers of all levels — whether you're a newbie or an experienced pro! Safety is our top priority, with full support including boats and first aid on hand.

Event Highlights:

• 🌊 Swim in the serene waters of the Derwent Reservoir, located on the picturesqueDurham–Northumberland border.
• 🏁 Distances: Whether you prefer a short dip or a longer challenge, choose from:
  • 🏊‍♂️ 400m
  • 🏊‍♂️ ½ mile
  • 🏊‍♂️ 1 mile
  • 🏊‍♂️ 3.2km
  • 🏊‍♂️ 5km

Note: The shorter distances feature single marked routes, while the 3.2km and 5km will be done over multiple laps.

⏰ Start Times:
All swims are expected to start between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM. Exact times will be confirmed prior to the event.

🧊 Wetsuit Guidance:
While wetsuits may be optional for warmer temperatures, we recommend them for comfort. If you swim without one, a tow float is required.
