Swoon Society- Book Club and Cooking Class!
Join us for a unique blend of literature and culinary delight! Every other month, we dive into a romance set in the vibrant streets of New York City. (If romance isn't your jam, check out our book club that reads general fiction on alternating months!)
This month, Paging Through the City is teaming up with Good Girl for a fantastic book club and cooking experience centered around The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston.
What to Expect:
- Fajita-Making Experience: Learn how to craft homemade tortillas and build your own fajita bar! 🌯
- Book Discussion: Engage in lively conversation about the book—reading beforehand isn't required, but be ready for some spoilers! 📖
- Optional Add-On: Enjoy a refreshing citrus-forward drink inspired by the main character, Clementine! 🍹
Good Girl is a warm, community-driven shop and kitchen in Brooklyn by chef Gretchen Brinson, featuring a full kitchen for classes and a lovely backyard setting. The shop offers both quality meals and thoughtfully curated pantry items from small producers and makers, connecting them directly to the neighbors who want to know them. Here, the tastemakers are the cooks, the family farmers, the fermenters, and the small-batch makers — the people who pour everything into what they grow and make. 🌼
Note: There will be photos and videos taken during the event for social media. If you prefer not to be featured, please inform us before we begin!
Reminder: All ticket sales are final, as they contribute to budgeting for food and reservations.
