About the Event

Join us for a profound evening hosted by Goonj during London Climate Week! This event is a unique opportunity to engage in conversations and reflections about climate resilience, drawing insights from those who are living with the impacts of climate change daily.

For over 20 years, Goonj has worked with communities impacted by various humanitarian crises like floods and droughts across India. Our most crucial lessons on resilience come from these communities who face uncertainty daily.

Across the Global South, proactive communities are crafting their own solutions using local knowledge, frugal innovations, and collective action, adapting their surroundings sustainably and effectively. However, their experiences often remain unnoticed and underfunded in global climate conversations.

Who Should Attend

This session is ideal for practitioners, philanthropists, impact investors, and changemakers eager to learn how to align capital and decision-making to better support these frontline communities.

About the Exhibition

Accompanying our dialogue is Disasters: Myths and Realities, a compelling photo exhibition by Anshu Gupta, the founder of Goonj and an award-winning humanitarian. This exhibition challenges traditional disaster narratives, shedding light on not only the human costs but also the resilience and courage of impacted individuals.
