The Integration Gap: Why Life-Changing Experiences Don’t Always Change Your Life

The Integration Gap: Why Life-Changing Experiences Don’t Always Change Your Life

About the event

🦋 Why do the most meaningful moments of our lives sometimes leave us feeling more lost, not less?

After experiences like a big trip, a relationship ending, a new baby, moving, a career change, or a powerful moment in nature, many return to ordinary life feeling restless, sad, confused, or strangely unlike themselves. This disorientation can feel unsettling, yet it’s not unusual.

In this insightful lecture, Dr. Suzy Ross, professor, author, and social scientist with over 20 years of experience studying transformation, explains that this aftermath is not a sign of failure but a crucial phase in the journey of becoming someone new.

Using her research-based Figure-8 Model of Transformation from her book The Map to Wholeness, Dr. Ross provides a framework to understand where you are in your change process, why your old life may feel inadequate, and how true transformation shifts from idea to lived experience. ✨
