The Quiet Heroes Brno: Stories from the Second World War

The Quiet Heroes Brno: Stories from the Second World War

About the event

🌍 The permanent exhibition The Quiet Heroes offers an interactive journey into the history of the 20th century. Visitors will not only listen to the stories of witnesses who experienced totalitarian regimes but will also actively participate in the research of memories using a tablet.

✨ The exhibition features non-traditional projections, visual and sound effects, interactive screens, and augmented reality to enhance the experience.

Choose Your Era:
During each visit, you can experience the story of one of the witnesses. You can visit the exhibition four times and have a different experience each time:

The stories of these four heroes were selected from over ten thousand interviews from the Memory of the Nation collection. They all share a common thread: selflessly helping others through courageous actions, often at great personal risk.

💡 The inspiring life stories of Jaryna and Tomáš highlight that not every hero is included in history lessons. Jaryna saved dozens of Jews from transport using a poisonous chemical compound, while Tomáš guides visitors through his extraordinary journey across the European battlefields of World War II.
