Join us for a magical journey as The Athens Theatre Company presents The Wizard of Oz! 🎭

Based on the classic story by L. Frank Baum, this enchanting musical features music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg, with background music by Herbert Stothart.

Plot Summary:
When a tornado sweeps young Dorothy Gale away to the mystical land of Oz, she embarks on an adventure to find the Wizard who can help her return home. Along the way, she meets three unforgettable friends: a Scarecrow in search of a brain, a Tin Woodsman longing for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion seeking courage. Together, they must outsmart the Wicked Witch of the West to reclaim the magical slippers that Dorothy possesses. Through friendship and a sprinkle of magic, Dorothy learns that home is where the heart is. 🏡❤️
