Trail & Rail 2026

📣 Get ready for the exciting return of Trail & Rail 2026! 🚂🙌 Join us as we embark on this fantastic adventure starting from Bolton Street East Lancashire Railway Station! Experience the beauty of the countryside as you walk along scenic trails, with distances suited to everyone’s capability. Choose your endpoint at one of the three ELR stations:

• Bolton Street Station to Burrs Country Park Station: 1.5 miles
• Bolton Street Station to Summerseat Station: 3.3 miles
• Bolton Street Station to Ramsbottom: 5 miles

Once you've completed your chosen route, hop on the train with your free ticket for a return trip back to Bolton Street Station, Bury. 🚂

Thanks to Bury Council, this event is FREE, but donations are always welcomed! Your contributions will support the Sunnywood Project, an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to youth programs and community activities that enrich lives through outdoor experiences. Your donations will help fund sessions like ‘Kindling Kids,’ the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programs, and the SPACE program for children with SEMH needs.
