Join us for an enchanting evening with Transit Books as we celebrate our 2nd Annual Big Fall Fundraiser! 📚✨ For a decade, Transit Books has been a beacon of award-winning literature and cultural exchange, fostering cultural conversations and hosting events in the Bay Area and beyond. This October, we're inviting you to a themed dress-up party at Donkey & Goat Winery!

Enjoy 2 drinks and artisanal pizza 🍕 (our love language!) while supporting our mission to bring 20 new literary gems in 2027 from diverse regions, including Japan, Colombia, Turkey, Norway, and two Undelivered Lectures from Bay Area authors.

This year, our theme draws inspiration from the captivating book Our Life in the Forest by Marie Darrieussecq, translated from the French by Penny Hueston—a tale of a woman writing from a forest encampment at the end of the world, in the unsatisfying company of her clone. 🌲💫 Embrace creativity in your attire: high foliage, fall hues, branchy headgear, verdant suits, something with mushrooms, whimsical nymph-like enchantments, or coordinate something of your choosing with your clone. The only requirement? Wear what makes you feel fabulous!
