Leto, keď som všetkých stratil
A summer screening of the feature-length debut film by a 15-year-old director—The Summer When I Lost Everyone.
Join us for a film evening featuring a discussion with the authors and creators of this work. This intimate story explores growing up, the relationships between parents and children, and the search for answers to life’s questions, all centered around one unforgettable summer.
The film follows 17-year-old student Lucas (Jakub Horák), who has his head in the clouds and struggles to live in the moment. Raised by his grandmother Dáša (Nina Kočanová) instead of his parents, Lucas travels to the countryside after thirteen years to visit his estranged father, Peter (Matej Landl). Their strained relationship is navigated with the help of Peter’s caregiver, Lenka (Silvia Soldanová), who attempts to bridge the gap between father and son. Meanwhile, Lucas finds solace in a new group of friends led by Charlotte (Viktória Holkovičová), Zora (Esther Pilátová), and Matias (Samuel Klinovský). Their bond with Charlotte goes beyond friendship, as they all seek answers to life's questions. Fate intertwines their differing perspectives on life. But will Lucas be able to find his way to his father, Charlotte, and, above all, to himself? The film's slower pace resonates with those who can feel the emotions beneath the surface.
