ÚNA Indigenous Women's Circle
Join us for an intimate gathering hosted by women from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, recognized by its Indigenous peoples as the Heart of the World, during London Climate Action Week. Rising from Colombia's Caribbean coast, this region is not only one of the most biodiverse mountain ecosystems on Earth but also a reservoir of ancient knowledge guiding the stewardship of land, water, and life.
ÚNA brings together both Indigenous and non-Indigenous women in a circle designed to explore the vital roles women play as protectors of biodiversity and custodians of ancestral wisdom. The format is straightforward yet impactful: Indigenous women will convene in the inner circle to share their stories, perspectives, and the wisdom passed down through generations, while the outer circle will hold space through attentive witnessing and listening.
The gathering will unfold within a gallery exhibition showcasing the artwork of 'Yosokwi', an Indigenous multimedia art collective from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Their visual storytelling beautifully reflects the cosmovision that shapes the circle.
With a limited capacity of fifty participants, please register your interest to secure your spot. Light refreshments will be provided.
This gathering is presented by ÚNA and proudly supported by WWF Colombia. 🌿
