Do you need a computer to learn computer science?

Not always! In this interactive workshop, educator Llewelyn Fernandes will demonstrate how traditional tools can simplify complex computing concepts.

What to Expect:

• Explore computational thinking through practical activities 🧠
• Learn how algorithms can be represented using pen, paper, and physical objects ✏️📦
• Break complex problems into smaller, manageable steps 🔍
• Examine how computers process instructions and information 💡
• Explore introductory ideas connected to artificial intelligence 🤖
• Discover unplugged activities for classrooms, workshops, or independent study 📚
• Share ideas and problem-solving approaches with other participants 🤝

This session will be hands-on and discussion-based, with opportunities to work both individually and collaboratively.

This workshop is designed for individuals aged 16 and over, particularly:

Some previous experience in studying or teaching computing may be helpful, but advanced knowledge is not required.
