Join us in celebrating America's 250th birthday by crafting your own iconic American treats! 🌭🌽
Event Overview:
Dive into the world of metalworking with hands-on activities:
- Learn the Basics: Start with GMAW (MIG welding) and PAC (plasma arc cutting).
- Shape Your Food: Plasma cut the shapes of corn and hot dog buns, then weld each corn kernel.
- Make It Delicious: Use an oxyfuel torch to create your hot dog and top it off with metal ‘ketchup, mustard, onions,’ etc.
- Design Your Tray: Cut and bend sheet metal into a tray that looks just like the ones at the baseball stadium! 🎉
Important Details:
- Safety First: All classes begin with essential safety instructions. We provide individual instruction in small groups of around 10 participants.
- Gear Provided: Safety glasses, welding jackets, gloves, and helmets are included. Feel free to bring your own safety glasses if preferred.
- Who Can Attend: This class is co-ed and open to kids aged 7 and up (with parental consent).
- Dress Code: Please wear jeans, a cotton t-shirt, and closed-toe shoes (leather shoes or boots recommended; no sandals).
- Refreshments Offered: Enjoy water, tea, and light snacks, plus a delicious hot dog and corn on the cob to celebrate completing your creation!
