Talk 1: Design influence, how to get stakeholder buy-in on your ideas and create the design impact you want.

For all of you who have taken so much painstaking effort to make a customer centric solution for a client or a stakeholder, just to see your vision being compromised, your worries neglected, or your stakeholders asking you to make changes that make your design alarm bells go off, this is the talk for you.

In this talk, Simon is going to share his experience with influencing stakeholders, where he went from changing types and colours to being trusted to make more strategic decisions for a product. Being his honest self, he is going to reflect on some cases where he learned something, where he failed, and what lessons can be drawn from that, so that you're better equiped to deal with this in your day to day work.
