UX VIENNA at home with Arnold Schönberg
Join us for an engaging exploration of Arnold Schönberg's remarkable legacy! 🎨
Arnold Schönberg (1874–1951), a monumental figure of the 20th century creative landscape, not only transformed classical music with his innovative twelve-tone method and sound color techniques but was also a talented designer, painter, inventor, and systems thinker. In the spirit of greats like Mozart and Beethoven, Schönberg reshaped harmony and influenced countless composers.
In this insightful meetup, we will examine Schönberg's multifaceted creative approach through a UX lens. What can his methods and problem-solving techniques teach us about modern design and user experience? We will also discuss how museums and concert spaces create experiences that resonate with audiences.
Delve into the depths of Schönberg’s world at the Arnold Schönberg Center, where Director Dr. Ulrike Anton will guide us through his archival legacy. Our journey will also include a guided tour led by user researcher Dr. Franziska Brunner, followed by an interactive discussion of the exhibition. Notably, Schönberg's estate is recognized on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register for its significant contribution to global documentary heritage.
After our museum visit from 3:00–6:00 p.m., you’re invited to enjoy an in-house concert at 6:30 p.m. 🎻, followed by a delightful dinner. 🍽️
Concert Price: €18 (includes exhibition entry)
