Join us for the Vega Day 2026 symposium titled “Navigating Humanity’s Future on Earth” at the prestigious Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm! This important gathering brings together researchers, students, and the public to explore vital topics such as:

This year, we celebrate the achievements of Professor Johan Rockström, Director at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Professor in Earth System Science, who will receive the Vega Medal 2026 for his significant contributions to physical geography.
