Experience basket making, stone carving, birch bark etching, woodcarving, doll making, beadwork, and jewelry making — traditions passed down through generations of the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Micmac, and Maliseet peoples, known as the Wabanaki, or “People of the Dawn.”

Wabanaki Arts Market:

Over 40 award-winning artists will showcase their crafts at this unique marketplace, the southernmost gathering in the State of Maine. Don’t miss this opportunity to appreciate Wabanaki culture through basket making, bead working, storytelling, drumming, singing, and dancing! 🎉

Sustaining Cultural Practices:

Purchase museum-quality crafts directly from Wabanaki artists recognized for preserving important cultural traditions. A variety of price points will be available, so be prepared with cash and/or personal checks, as not all artists accept debit/credit cards.
